Why a team member may not be able to create a change order
Change order creation is restricted to Admins and Project Managers — here's why, and what Members can still do.
Who can create change orders
- 1Global Admin and Admin — full access.
- 2Project Manager — full access for assigned projects.
- 3Member — cannot create, send, or edit change orders.
Why it's restricted
Change orders affect contract value and client communication, so Doxlair limits who can create and send them to reduce the risk of pricing errors or duplicate submissions.
What Members can still do
Members can log field notes and daily field reports that feed into change orders — they just can't create the change order itself. If a Member spots a scope change, they should log it as a field note so a Project Manager or Admin can convert it.
