How to recalculate a schedule
When and why to use the Recalculate Schedule option after changing dates, dependencies, or work calendar settings.
When to recalculate
- 1After adding or changing a dependency between tasks.
- 2After adding a holiday or non-working day to the work calendar.
- 3After turning weekend work on or off.
- 4After manually dragging a task that has downstream dependencies.
Steps
- 1Open the project's Schedule tab.
- 2Click Recalculate Schedule.
- 3Doxlair walks the dependency chain and updates downstream task dates based on the current work calendar.
- 4Review the updated dates before sharing the schedule externally.
Why it matters
Skipping a recalculation after a calendar or dependency change can leave your schedule showing dates that no longer reflect reality — which weakens any schedule-impact change order you try to support with it.
