How Daily Field Reports support change order documentation
Daily Field Reports are some of the strongest evidence you can attach to a change order — here's how to use them that way.
Why daily reports are strong evidence
A dated, contemporaneous daily report carries more weight than a recollection written weeks later. Clients and disputes resolvers trust records that were created at the time something happened, not after the fact.
How to connect a report to a change order
- 1Log the relevant detail in a Daily Field Report the day it happens.
- 2If AI Monitor flags it as a potential change order opportunity, review it in the AI Monitor tab.
- 3Convert the opportunity to a change order draft, or manually reference the report's date and details in a change order you create yourself.
- 4Attach any related photos directly to the change order.
Tip
AI Monitor scans new Daily Field Report entries (along with field notes) for change order potential, using your project's Scope of Work as the baseline. Photos are not scanned by AI Monitor, so describe what's in a photo in the report text as well.
